Ampaire raises $19M Series B for hybrid-electric aviation

The financing brings the company's total funding to $68 million, including approximately $25 million in non-dilutive grants and contracts.
Ampaire says it will use the capital to accelerate commercial deployment of its hybrid-electric aircraft, expand flight operations under the FAA eIPP program, produce additional Eco Caravan units, strengthen supplier and manufacturing capabilities, and advance certification programs.
Founded in 2016, Ampaire develops hybrid-electric propulsion systems designed to reduce fuel burn, emissions and operating costs while using existing aircraft and airport infrastructure.
