What's the endgame? CAMO provides fully managed room service under a hotel's own brand, handling ordering, local kitchen fulfilment, delivery, and guest support. The model requires no kitchen buildout, capital expenditure, or extra hotel staff. It now operates across more than 60 properties in six US markets.

What's the money for? CAMO will enter new US markets, support portfolio-wide deployments now in pilot, and keep developing its technology platform.

By the numbers: The round follows more than 200% year-over-year revenue growth, according to the company. Founder and chief executive officer Kevin Rohani said CAMO built the business profitably and largely without outside capital. "I originally was never even looking for funding," he told Hotel BusinessDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →.

Why now? Demand from major brands has changed CAMO's scale requirements. "The scale potential of us partnering with somebody is no longer one and one to one," Rohani said. "It's more of a 'Let's discuss brand segments and regions.'"

The signal: The raise ranks in the 94th percentile for seed rounds among travel companies in its country, reflecting appetite for tools that help hotels recapture guest spending. "Hotels have digitized everything except the transaction that happens inside the room," Lacavera said. "That is a large market with no incumbent."
