Kleer buys Plock to build an operating system for SaaS and AI firms

What's the deal? Cloud-based business systems company Kleer has acquired PlockDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a B2B startup that helps customers manage contracts, revenue, and transaction-based business models. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

What's the endgame? Kleer, formerly known as PE Accounting, wants the combined business to become the default platform for how SaaS and AI companies scale. "This is a strategic acquisition in our ambition to create the very best solution for SaaS and AI companies," said Pontus Björnsson, chief executive officer of Kleer (translated from Swedish).

Björnsson added that together, Kleer and Plock could become "a kind of operating system for SaaS and AI companies."

The numbers: Kleer posted revenue of 240 million kronor last year, with a profit of 12.3 million kronor. Plock, also registered as Metered ABDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, reported 2025 revenue of 2.9 million kronor and a loss of 700,000 kronor, underlining that this is a bolt-on rather than a scale play.

The signal: The deal reflects how established software firms are moving to own the financial infrastructure behind SaaS and AI businesses, where usage- and transaction-based pricing is reshaping how revenue is tracked and billed.
