What's the deal? Gunnebo Entrance ControlDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has acquired Safe Products SARLDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a Paris-based specialist in entrance control installation and service. The deal strengthens Gunnebo's presence in one of Europe's largest and fastest-growing entrance control markets. Terms were not disclosed.

What each side brings: Founded in 2017, Safe Products has built a reputation for installing, maintaining, and servicing entrance control systems across critical infrastructure, government, and commercial sectors. It brings an established customer base, recurring service contracts, and local relationships to Gunnebo's operations.

Why now? France is Europe's second-largest entrance control market, with the Paris region accounting for roughly 70% of national demand. Gunnebo says customers increasingly want partners who can ensure compliance, sustainability, and ongoing maintenance and upgrades.

What's the endgame? The acquisition follows Gunnebo's purchase of Diadem, part of a push towards service-led growth and lifecycle support. Integrating Safe Products' local knowledge with those resources is expected to improve customer support across France.

"France is a strategically important market for Gunnebo Entrance Control and particularly the Paris region, which continues to see strong demand for entrance control solutions and services," said Howard Lang, president of Gunnebo Entrance Control.

For customers, little changes on the surface. "Our customers will continue to work with a team they know and trust, while benefiting from the additional resources, expertise, and long-term commitment that come with being part of a global entrance control business," said Yoann Carl of Safe Products SARL.

The signal: The deal reflects a wider shift in physical security, where hardware vendors are buying local installers to lock in recurring service revenue and stay close to customers. In fragmented markets like France, consolidation lets global players trade one-off sales for long-term maintenance relationships.
