IG&H buys Databricks specialist RevoData, pushing headcount past 700

Why it matters: Databricks is a cloud platform for data and AI that lets organisations collect, process, and analyse large volumes of data for machine learning and AI applications. Adding that expertise supports IG&H's push into retail, financial services, and healthcare.
The rationale. "RevoData's deep Databricks expertise fits perfectly with our mission to accelerate digital transformation with data and AI," said Joost van de Meent, chief executive officer of IG&H (translated from Dutch). He called it "a strategic step in our ambition to lead the AI transformation."
What changes for RevoData? The company gains access to IG&H's sector knowledge, boardroom relationships, and offices in the Netherlands, Poland, and Portugal. That lets it take on larger, more complex projects and scale faster.
Growth ambitions. "The way we've been successful so far isn't enough for our next growth phase," said RevoData chief executive officer Ralph Kootker. To grow from 40 to more than 100 professionals, he said the firm needs international infrastructure, broad knowledge, and market access — "with IG&H we get exactly that."
The seller. RevoData was previously part of Atomic GroupDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a cloud company based in Alkmaar. Atomic will keep working closely with the business while focusing on sovereign infrastructure for the Netherlands, chief executive officer Ronald Bezuur said.
The signal: The deal continues an active buying run for IG&H, which earlier this year acquired cloud transformation firm CloudNation and medical knowledge platform Alii. As demand for data and AI capabilities grows, mid-market consultancies are consolidating specialist skills to serve larger, more complex engagements.
