What does it do? Founded in Hefei in 2020, the company develops silicon-photonic quantum computing systems, from core optical quantum devices to complete machines. Its technology originates from the Key Laboratory of Quantum Information at the University of Science and Technology of China.
What's next? The funding will support R&D for 10,000-bit special-purpose optical computing clusters and general-purpose quantum computing chipsets. The company released a cloud-accessible, general-purpose programmable quantum computer based on silicon photonic integrated chips in November 2025 and expects to launch a 5,000-bit special-purpose optical computing product by the end of 2026.
Why now? The round brings industrial and local-government-linked capital behind a photonic approach to quantum computing as the company works towards larger-scale commercial systems, while its QRNG chip business provides an early commercial base.
