The terms. The unsecured credit facility was concluded in December 2025. It runs for three years, with extension options of up to two years.
Why now? ewe-erneuerbare wants its financing framework to match the scale of its project pipeline. That pipeline totals around 11,000 megawatts.
In the most recent onshore wind tender from the Federal Network Agency, the company secured contracts for six sites with a combined capacity of 242 megawatts.
What's the endgame? ewe-erneuerbare is developing existing sites into integrated energy parks that combine wind power, photovoltaics and battery storage. The extended credit line gives it more room to implement these projects.
"With the increase to EUR 350 million, we are aligning our financing framework with our current project pipeline," said Ingmar Schmitt, Chief Financial Officer of ewe-erneuerbare. He added that the arrival of Crédit Agricole CIB "confirms ewe-erneuerbare's implementation strength."
The signal. Adding a third major bank to the syndicate — and the extra headroom — points to steady lender appetite for financing Germany and Europe's shift to renewable energy.
