What's the endgame? Orkin framed the deal as a way to strengthen its footprint in New York. "Their community ties and loyal customers are an important part of our continued growth in New York," said Art Watson, Orkin division president.
What changes for customers? Taylor said existing clients would see no drop in service. "JNJ's customers can count on the same level of service they've come to expect," he said, adding that they were "in good hands with Rollins."
Cetane marketed the business through a confidential process. Team members Bob Williamson, Danny O'Laughlin, and Jack McMurchie managed the transaction.
The signal: The deal reflects continued consolidation in the fragmented pest control industry, where large operators like Rollins absorb regional independents to widen their geographic reach.
