Youth sports franchisor YAU lands growth investment from Falfurrias

What's the endgame? The company runs one of the largest youth sports enrichment franchise platforms in the US, delivering curriculum-based programming through schools, early childhood centres, parks, and community groups. Co-founders Adam Geisler, chief executive officer, and John Erlandson, president, will continue to lead the business alongside the founding team.
Where the money goes: YAU plans to strengthen the tools, training, marketing, and operational support available to its franchise owners, and to widen access to its programming for children nationwide.
"These incremental resources will be invested into the infrastructure, territory, and marketing support that current and future franchise owners will directly benefit from to build their local businesses," Geisler said.
Why now? The brands under YAU carry more than two decades of operating history, giving the platform an established customer base and unit economics that appeal to growth investors.
The signal: The youth enrichment sector keeps drawing investor interest, driven by strong participation trends and a highly fragmented market ripe for consolidation. "YAU is truly differentiated by the quality of its brands, the strength of its franchisee network and a scalable platform," said Brian Alas, managing director at Boxwood Partners — a sign that capital continues to flow toward proven, founder-led franchise models.
