Why now? The deal comes ahead of Phase 2 of Awaab's Law, which introduces further requirements on how social landlords respond to hazards in residents' homes.
What's the endgame? The combined businesses will focus on housing technology, environmental monitoring and home intelligence, aiming to help housing providers meet regulatory requirements and improve living conditions.

What changes for customers? COSIE Homes continues as the customer-facing brand, and customers keep their current products, services, contacts and support. Branding across the website and communications will be updated.

She said joining ZapCarbon offers a chance to build safer, healthier homes for residents across the UK.
The signal: Tightening safety rules are pushing housing technology providers to consolidate, pooling monitoring and intelligence tools as social landlords face rising pressure to act on home hazards.
