The players: Founded in 1990, Lohmiller distributes Carrier GlobalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →'s full range of residential, light commercial, and applied HVAC products, and employs 220 people. Owners Tim Brooks, Mark Brown, and Roger Lee will continue to lead the business after the deal closes.
Why now? The purchase follows SRS's recent acquisition of MingledorffDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →'s, a Southeast HVAC distributor. Lohmiller becomes the second addition to what SRS chief executive officer Dan Tinker called its "nascent HVAC platform."
What's the endgame? SRS is assembling an HVAC distribution business anchored to a single supplier. Both Lohmiller and Mingledorff's are "strategically aligned with Carrier," Tinker said, adding that SRS is "thrilled to support this partnership as we continue expansion in the HVAC space."
The bigger footprint: McKinney, Texas-based SRS operates more than 1,300 locations across the US and Canada. Home Depot acquired the distributor in 2024.
The signal: The deal shows Home Depot deepening its bet on wholesale distribution and the professional trades, using SRS to roll up regional HVAC players around Carrier's product line. For customers and suppliers, continuity is the pitch; for the market, it points to further consolidation in a fragmented HVAC distribution sector.
