Nets acquires controlling stake in Softfreak

What's the deal? South Korean IAM and SSO specialist Nets has completed its acquisition of a controlling stake in API security company Softfreak. The deal combines Nets' identity-management capabilities with Softfreak's API security, access-control and AI expertise.

What it means. Nets plans to build an identity-security platform covering people, machines, service accounts and AI agents, while linking Softfreak's API governance and access-control products with its IAM and SSO platform. It also plans cross-selling across both companies' customer bases.
