What each side does. Smithery helps developers discover, package and run MCP servers. Arcade provides a secure action layer for delegated authorisation, allowing agents to act for authenticated users with permission controls.
Who's joining. Smithery co-founder Anirudh Kamath is joining the Arcade AI team.
Why now? Enterprises are moving agents from pilots into production and need both a tool catalogue and a runtime that can authorise and audit actions. The acquisition combines those layers under one vendor.
