Aspire buys automotive supplier DCS for $30M, pivots beyond biopharma

What does DCS do? It supplies automotive systems for electronic driver control, backing the industry shift toward vehicle electrification, safety, lightweighting, and sustainability. DCS runs 11 manufacturing facilities across North America, Europe, and Asia, and holds more than 310 patents.
The numbers: DCS reported revenue of roughly $209.5 million and adjusted EBITDA of $22.3 million for the 12 months ended December 31, 2025. For the first half of 2026, it generated $103.9 million in revenue and $10.5 million in adjusted EBITDA.
How it's funded: Aspire entered a $22.5 million senior secured revolving credit facility alongside the deal. It plans to use those borrowings plus cash on hand to fund the purchase.

Why now? Aspire framed the deal as a move to enterprise scale. "Absorbing DCS's FY2025 financial footprint—exceeding $200 million in revenue and $22.3 million in Adjusted EBITDA in 2025—immediately elevates us to enterprise scale," said Kraig Higginson, Aspire's chief executive officer and chairperson.
The signal: The acquisition marks a sharp diversification for a company named Aspire Biopharma, folding a high-revenue automotive business into its portfolio. Aspire expects the deal to be cash-flow-positive and to improve its path to profitability.
