What each does: Iconex, based in Morristown, Tennessee, produces variable-information label solutions for food, beverage, retail, and quick-service restaurant customers. Heartland, founded in 1990, makes direct thermal, thermal transfer, linerless, and specialty labels from plants in Little Chute and Rancho Cucamonga, California.
The rationale: The acquisition expands Iconex's manufacturing capacity and its variable-information label range. "This acquisition aligns with our material science focus, expands our variable information label capabilities, and brings together two organizations with a shared commitment to valued customer partnerships," said M2S Group chief executive officer Paul Charapata.
What changes: Heartland serves customers across the US, Canada, and the Caribbean through direct relationships and distribution partners. Its leadership expects continuity. "I believe they value what has made Heartland successful — our people, our culture, and our commitment to our customers," said Jamie Hillend, Heartland's vice president and general manager.
