BlueGrace acquires longtime partner Truk TMS to expand US freight reach

What's the deal? BlueGrace Logistics has acquired Truk TMSDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a logistics provider that previously operated as a BlueGrace partner. The deal folds Truk's customers into BlueGrace's Managed Logistics platform, giving them access to its less-than-truckload (LTL), truckload, and parcel services. Terms were not disclosed.

What each does: BlueGrace is a Tampa-based third-party logistics (3PL) provider operating across North America, serving over 10,000 customers annually. Truk TMS, headquartered in Post Falls, Idaho, offers LTL, truckload, and supply chain management services across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Why now? The companies frame the acquisition as a natural progression of an existing partnership. "Truk TMS has operated as one of our most trusted partners, and this acquisition is simply the natural next step in that relationship," said Bobby Harris, founder and chief executive officer of BlueGrace.

What changes for customers? BlueGrace plans to integrate day-to-day operations into its broader organization while keeping service continuity. Truk customers gain access to BlueGrace's carrier network and its proprietary BlueShip technology, which connects with more than 250,000 carrier suppliers.

What's the endgame? BlueGrace, part of the technology portfolio of private equity firm Warburg Pincus, operates nine offices across major transportation hubs in the US and Mexico. Absorbing Truk extends its footprint in the Pacific Northwest.

The signal: Converting an established partner into an outright acquisition is a low-risk path to consolidation, letting BlueGrace add customers and regional coverage without building from scratch. It reflects continued scaling in the fragmented 3PL market.
