He described NutriScience as a "scaled, science-driven platform that continues to attract strategic and sponsor interest."

The signal: Specialty ingredients continue to draw both strategic and sponsor buyers, and platforms with scale and technical depth are prime targets. Frontenac's entry adds another private equity backer to a consolidating corner of the food and beverage market.
