The company has also developed South Korea's first 4m three-stage deployable SAR mesh antenna and is building an AI-based zoom optical module for space domain awareness.
What's the money for? STEP LAB plans to commercialise its flight-proven space mechanism products globally and set up mass production. It will pursue space demonstrations of next-generation payload technologies through national R&D projects, scaling follow-on business in stages.
Chief executive officer Oh Hyun-woong said the raise reflects "a meaningful achievement in which STEP LAB's accumulated space mechanism technology and future growth potential were recognised by the market."
