Advatec raises US$1.23M pre-Series B as medical AI scribe hits 300 clinics

What's the deal? AdvatecDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a Tokyo-based startup, has raised about US$1.23M in a pre-Series B round through a third-party share allotment. Multiple individual investors backed the round, which brings the company's total funding to roughly US$5.85M.

What's the endgame? The company began in social media marketing but launched Coekar, a voice-AI service for medical records, in June 2026. Coekar captures conversations during consultations and auto-generates SOAP-format charts in seconds.

Why now? Coekar reached 300 medical institutions within about seven months of early access, as of the end of July 2026. Monthly generated charts and recording time have kept growing about 50% month-on-month.

Where's the money going? Advatec will spend the funds on product development and hiring for sales and customer success. The company wants customer success staff to help each institution fit Coekar into its own workflows.

The product goes beyond record-keeping. It stores past patient data, generates referral letters and summaries, and lets nurses, pharmacists, and administrative staff use it under a flat-rate model. Advatec plans to strengthen API integrations with web questionnaires and electronic medical records, aiming to turn Coekar into an "AI medical assistant."

The signal: The step-up from Advatec's earlier fundraising reflects investor appetite for AI tools that cut documentation load in healthcare. By pivoting from marketing into clinical software, the startup is betting that voice-driven records can become core infrastructure for hospitals and clinics.
