What each side brings: Founded in 2016, Medipartner provides recruitment and outsourcing solutions to clients in the pharma industry. B3 Partners said it was drawn to the company's "strong entrepreneurial culture, deep healthcare expertise and shared ambition to build a sustainable company with a recognised market-leading position."
Why now? The transaction marks We Are Jane's exit after seven years backing the women-led business. Partner Muriel Uytterhaegen outlined the fund's M&A value-creation strategy at the 2024 M&A Forum — an approach the firm credits for Medipartner's recent growth.
What's the endgame? B3 Partners plans to "further strengthen Medipartner's position while preserving the values that have driven its success to date." Members of Mestré's executive team are becoming shareholders alongside her, a shift she said "reflects our shared belief in Medipartner, our people, and the future we are building together."
We Are Jane partner Conny Vandendriessche called Medipartner the fund's first investment and Mestré a first-time shareholder. "Some investments are about numbers, but the most beautiful ones are about people," she said, adding that the team had "once again found a great growth path."

The signal: The handover reflects a familiar cycle in mid-market private equity — one backer exits after scaling a company, and another steps in to fund the next phase. For founder-led firms like Medipartner, keeping management as co-shareholders is increasingly the price of continuity.
