What does it do? Founded in 2023 and commercially live in 2024, Aavalynx builds AI that lets legal teams, law firms, and litigation funders structure, analyse, and interrogate dispute data at scale. The tool helps companies intervene earlier, improve litigation outcomes, and control legal spend.

Why now? Litigation accounts for about 30% of corporate external legal spend, and 80% of companies faced at least one lawsuit in 2025, according to a 2026 survey of US corporate counsel. More than 46% expect lawsuits to increase.

What's the endgame? Founder and chief executive officer Hanna Roos argues that companies lack the data and tools to analyse dispute portfolios or forecast outcomes, leaving them dependent on external law firms. Traditional firm models bill by volume and the hour, misaligning incentives.

The signal: Aavalynx joins a wave of startups applying large language models to legal work, targeting the gap between what law firms sell and what in-house teams need. "My tagline is 'bringing joy back to lawyers,'" Roos said.
