Try Dealroom →, the competitive gaming platform and records organisation, the companies announced on July 31. It is part of a broader ongoing fundraise, though neither side disclosed the amount or Enduring Games' resulting stake.
What's the endgame? Twin Galaxies, founded in 1981 to track and verify competitive gaming records, now generates revenue by offering publishers and brands access to its engaged audience. It is raising more capital to scale that advertising business.
Why now? Enduring Games founder Adam Creighton said the size of the cheque was less important than the timing. "The amount was secondary to having the right partners involved early," he said, adding that the deal was meant as "a positive signal" to others in the industry.
Creighton has also joined Twin Galaxies as a formal advisor. He said the tie-up lets Twin Galaxies tap Enduring Games' relationships with major publishers — the studio holds co-development credits on Borderlands 4, Bugsnax, and ARK: Survival Ascended since forming in 2019.
By the numbers: In May, Twin Galaxies partnered with Warner Bros. Discovery on a competition tied to the "Mortal Kombat II" film, reporting a 73% rise in Mortal Kombat players during the event. Senior executive Zachary Rozga sees Enduring Games' development skills enabling deeper in-game integrations: "There are specific things in-game that would make for awesome Twin Galaxies challenges."
The deal is Enduring Games' first strategic equity investment in another company, though not its first outside bet. The studio also backs Sacred: Last Pixel of Ancaria, which it is co-developing with SparklingBit.
The signal: A game developer moving into publishing and now equity investing points to studios chasing revenue beyond development fees — and to a 44-year-old brand betting its longevity can be repackaged as an advertising channel for publishers.
