Buildertrend acquires BizJet AI to bring agentic AI to home construction

What each side brings: Buildertrend runs a construction management platform for residential contractors. BizJet AI adds AI capabilities across preconstruction, project management, financials, and homeowner and subcontractor workflows.

The key hires: Markas joins Buildertrend as vice president of product, AI, while Baker becomes a distinguished engineer. Both previously built and scaled AI products at Amazon and Google.

Why it matters: Buildertrend says the technology will help contractors automate repetitive work, improve decision-making and deliver intelligent assistance embedded across its platform, framing the deal as part of a strategy to develop AI that understands how builders work without disrupting existing workflows.
