Ennoconn launches €200M tender offer for Kontron AG

Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs Investment Commission cleared the outbound investment as part of a batch of cases approved at its latest meeting.

Where it stands: The move follows Ennoconn's mandatory takeover offer for the Linz-based IoT and embedded-computing specialist. Kontron's Executive Board and Supervisory Board have recommended that shareholders not accept the offer, setting up a contested bid.

Why it matters: A successful tender would deepen Ennoconn's foothold in European industrial and embedded computing, extending the Taiwanese group's reach into Kontron's IoT hardware and services base.
