Try Dealroom → said consumers need better tools to manage digital privacy as the volume of personal information collected by organisations keeps rising. Permission Slip's "strong platform and engaged user community" made it a "natural strategic fit," he said.
What changes for users? The companies said existing Permission Slip customers face no disruption. Accounts, subscriptions, and pending requests continue uninterrupted, with no action required as DeleteMe takes over operations.
Consumer Reports built Permission Slip after years of advocacy for stronger privacy laws, designing it to help individuals exercise new legal rights. Ginny Fahs, senior director of emerging products and services at the nonprofit, said DeleteMe is "well positioned to continue expanding the platform's reach."
The signal: The deal reflects consolidation in consumer privacy as stricter data protection laws and rising public awareness push demand for tools that control how personal information is collected and shared.
