ProLogium secures $50M ahead of SPAC listing at $3.8B valuation

What's the deal? ProLogium Technology, a Taiwan-based maker of next-generation lithium ceramic batteries, has secured $50 million in committed primary capital from existing shareholders. The investment supports its planned business combination with Translational Development Acquisition Corp. (TDAC), a special purpose acquisition company listed on the Nasdaq, at a pre-money valuation of roughly $3.8 billion.

Why now? The commitment forms part of a broader capital raise tied to the transaction, which would take ProLogium public. Both parties framed the round as a step toward closing.

What's the endgame? ProLogium plans to use the proceeds to scale production and advance construction of its planned gigafactory in Dunkirk, France — a project supported by a subsidy package of up to €1.375 billion from the French government.

What's next? The company is expanding into adjacent applications, including data centres, aerospace, and robotics, beyond its established automotive and consumer battery work.

Founded in 2006, ProLogium holds more than 1,100 global patents and has delivered over 2.4 million battery products to partners and customers. It commercialised solid-state batteries in 2013 and introduced a superfluidised inorganic lithium ceramic battery in 2025.

The signal: Insider backing at an unchanged valuation signals confidence as ProLogium moves toward a public listing — and underscores how heavily next-generation battery makers are leaning on both existing shareholders and government subsidies to fund the capital-intensive push to scale.
