Alpen banks first $6M of $10M Series B for energy-efficient windows

What's the deal? Alpen High Performance Products, a Colorado-based maker of high-efficiency windows, has closed the initial $6 million of a targeted $10 million Series B round. Inherent Capital and Arborview CapitalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → co-led the raise.

What's the endgame? The money will scale Alpen's manufacturing operations and expand capacity to meet demand for its advanced building materials. Its core products include thin glass insulated glass units (IGUs) with insulating performance up to R15, Winsert secondary glazing, and fiberglass windows.

Why now? Alpen has grown more than 50% since 2024, driven by adoption of those core innovations. Sales of Winsert and its commercial windows have quadrupled.

The company has installed automated manufacturing lines and launched third-party sales of its thin glass IGUs, now supplying other North American window and door manufacturers.

"We have transitioned from a bespoke manufacturer into a national brand with a scaled and standardized product suite," said chief executive officer Andrew Zech. He added that the funding "ensures we have the necessary operating capital to meet growing demand."

The signal: Alpen's raise reflects steady investor interest in energy-efficient building materials as manufacturers move from bespoke output to standardized, scalable product lines. Selling its glass technology to rivals signals a shift from pure product maker to industry supplier.
