Superstat raises $3.5M pre-Seed to bring elite sport analysis to community clubs

Where next? Following the raise, Superstat is moving to Austin, Texas, where it already has customers. Alongside its focus on basketball, it has begun building models for NFL, volleyball, soccer and baseball.
King said the company is now hiring a founding computer vision engineer and a go-to-market partnerships lead as it scales in the US. "We've gone from an idea to more than 5,000 active users shipping daily improvements based on real coach feedback, and that pace is only accelerating," she said.
She pointed to Austin as "the heartland of sport in the US, with a tech scene to match" and a deep pool of technical talent from the University of Texas.
The signal: At $3.5 million, the round sits in the 96th percentile of all-time seed-stage deals in Australian sports across 86 comparable rounds. It reflects growing investor appetite for AI tools that push professional-grade capabilities down to everyday users.
