RDE Group buys UK waste-to-fuel firm Tessomo to build clean infrastructure platform

What's the deal? RDE Group has acquired Tessomo TechnologiesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → Limited, a UK company that develops waste-to-fuel technologies and circular economy solutions. The purchase was made through its RDE Group Infrastructure ESG arm. Terms were not disclosed.

What's the endgame? RDE Group frames the deal as the start of a broader international platform to serve governments, airports, industrial companies, municipalities, and hotels on waste recovery and resource management. The company wants to work on projects spanning plastic recycling, composting, distributed energy systems, and recovery of reusable raw materials.

Why now? "Waste is no longer just an environmental issue," founder and chief executive officer Richard Encarnacion wrote, calling it "an infrastructure challenge, an energy challenge, and an economic opportunity." He pointed to governments working to cut landfill dependence and strengthen energy resilience.

The company says it favours flexible, modular facilities that can meet local needs while creating jobs. It is targeting airports, industrial parks, tourism destinations, and manufacturing hubs as sites for those projects.

Following the acquisition, RDE Group Infrastructure ESG is opening discussions across the US, UK, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Canada, Mexico, Panama, Nigeria, and other Caribbean markets. It is seeking talks with government agencies, airport authorities, engineering firms, infrastructure investors, ESG-focused funds, and family offices.

The signal: The deal reflects a wider push to treat waste as an asset rather than a liability, as circular economy infrastructure draws interest from both public and private capital. Whether RDE Group can convert its stated ambitions into funded projects will depend on the partnerships it is now courting.
