Poojaa Precision raises ₹45.1 crore from anchors ahead of ₹159.8 crore IPO

What's the deal? Poojaa PrecisionDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → Engineering has raised ₹45.1 crore from anchor investors, including Motilal OswalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → Finvest and AbakkusDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → Venture Opportunities Fund, ahead of its ₹159.8 crore initial public offering. The public issue runs from July 28 to July 30, 2026, with a price band of ₹285-₹301 per share.

Why now? Anchor rounds are a standard step before a company opens its books to the public, signalling institutional interest. The offering is structured entirely as a fresh issue of 53.1 lakh shares, meaning all proceeds go to the company rather than existing shareholders.

What's the endgame? Roughly ₹106.3 crore is earmarked for a new manufacturing unit in Pune. Another ₹30 crore covers working capital, with the remainder going to general operations.

The company, which specialises in aluminium die-casting and precision machining, has operated out of Pune since 1992. It supplies components across automotive, agriculture, defence, energy, and healthcare, and runs two existing manufacturing units.

What could go wrong? Because most IPO proceeds fund one project, timely completion of the new Pune facility is central to future revenue. The company also plans a fourth unit to develop samples for precision magnesium components, a move beyond its current aluminium focus.

The signal: Poojaa's raise reflects steady institutional appetite for India's precision manufacturing sector, where firms are betting IPO capital on capacity expansion to serve broadening industrial demand.
