What's the deal? LuumisDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has acquired Kalder, the customer loyalty startup founded by Gökçe GüvenDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → in 2022. Luumis builds operational intelligence infrastructure for service businesses. Financial terms were not disclosed.

What are the terms? The deal spans Kalder's platform, technology, intellectual property, customer relationships, and brand assets, pointing to an asset purchase rather than a full share transfer. Some of Kalder's product and engineering staff will join Luumis and support existing customers through the transition.

What does each side do? Kalder helps businesses strengthen customer relationships through card-linked rewards, subscriptions, commission models, and first-party transaction data. Luumis is building a multi-product platform that connects internal operations with customer relationships, revenue opportunities, and commercial activity.

What's the endgame? Luumis is starting with automotive service operations through its ServiceSync AI product, which improves visibility, spots bottlenecks, and coordinates dealership service teams. Kalder will add a customer intelligence layer — loyalty, rewards, subscriptions, and transaction-based insights. Luumis plans to expand into logistics, industrial field services, and healthcare operations.

Why now? Kalder started as a "Brand 3.0" platform building blockchain-based marketing and community tools, raising a $3 million pre-seed round for NFT membership cards and digital rewards. It later shifted from Web3 tools toward card-linked rewards and customer loyalty technology.

What changes for customers? The first integration pairs ServiceSync AI with Kalder's customer engagement infrastructure in automotive retail. Dealerships will merge service operations data with customer transaction and reward data, letting them offer targeted rewards, lift repeat-visit rates, and build new revenue models.

Luumis founder and chief executive officer Frazier Horn said operational intelligence should span an entire business lifecycle. "Operational intelligence should connect a business's entire lifecycle, covering not just its internal processes but everything that makes customers choose it again," he said. "Kalder brings rewards, subscription, and customer insight infrastructure to the broad platform we're building."

Kalder product director Nazlı Güngör said joining Luumis extends the startup's founding mission. "We built Kalder on a simple idea: businesses should be able to build stronger relationships with their customers through everyday commercial interactions," she said.

The signal: The acquisition reflects a shift among loyalty and Web3-era startups toward embedding themselves in broader operational platforms. Rather than standalone software, buyers are stitching customer data into end-to-end business systems — betting that combined operational and customer intelligence is worth more than either alone.
