The numbers: The acquirer group's combined holding rose from 21,06,531 to 22,06,058 shares — an increase of 0.41%. Shankara's total diluted voting capital stood at 2,42,49,326 shares before and after the deal.
Why now? The buy adds to steady accumulation in the stock. Other investors, including the Ballygunge Family Trust, have also increased their Shankara holdings.
Market reaction: Shankara shares were little changed after the disclosure, slipping 0.07% to ₹138.89 by 10:30 IST, with 6,663 shares traded in the session.
