It is the Vancouver-based company's 26th Drone as a Service (DaaS) acquisition and its first location in Ohio.

BA Land Professionals is a full-service surveying firm handling construction layout, topographic and boundary surveys, and drone and LiDAR mapping for building, energy, industrial, and government clients.
Why now? The deal extends ZenaTech's US footprint to 12 states across construction, infrastructure, energy, and public works. Its senior team brings 40 years of surveying expertise, giving ZenaTech an established base to introduce drone and LiDAR capabilities.
What's the endgame? ZenaTech is running a roll-up strategy, acquiring profitable service firms that use low-tech processes and layering in drone technology. "This is our 26th acquisition, reflecting the continued execution of our roll-up strategy as we build a nationwide network of Drone as a Service locations anchored by established customers and revenue," said chief executive officer Shaun Passley.

Ohio marks a new market for ZenaTech, which plans to target construction monitoring, 3D site mapping via its ZenaWorx platform, land surveying, utility inspections, and precision agriculture.
