What's the endgame? PageMind's platform learns a retailer's products, market, and shopper behaviour, then turns that into structured content built for AI-driven search. It rewrites product descriptions, generates buying guides, comparisons, and FAQs, and deploys chatbot-style assistants that act as digital salespeople.
Why now? Founder and chief executive officer Jaume Portell argues shopping is shifting away from traditional search and performance marketing toward AI systems like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity. "El ecommerce se enfrenta a un cambio estructural en la forma en la que los usuarios descubren productos," he said.
Where does the money go? The funds will accelerate product development, expand the team, and fuel international expansion, with the US as the main target market.
Proof point: The technology has been validated with Tradeinn, a large European sports e-commerce retailer and PageMind's first major client. Since deployment, Tradeinn has multiplied product discovery 15-fold and lifted clicks by 24%.
The signal: At €1.2 million, the round is modest, landing in roughly the bottom third of comparable deals by size. But it reflects a broader bet: as consumers increasingly ask AI models what to buy, retailers need new tools to stay visible in answers that synthesise multiple sources.
