What does SkipCash do? Founded in 2019, it provides digital payment tools including merchant acquiring, online payment gateways, payment links, QR payments, and Tap to Phone (SoftPOS). Licensed by the Qatar Financial Centre and regulated by the Qatar Central Bank, it serves more than 10,000 merchants and processed over QAR 1 billion in transactions during 2025.
What's the endgame? SkipCash plans to use the funding to expand its payment infrastructure, speed up product development, and strengthen its merchant network. It is also eyeing regional expansion across GCC markets through partnerships.

QIIB chief executive officer Abdulbasit Al Shaibei said the deal aligns with the Third Financial Sector Strategy from the Qatar Central Bank, which aims "to foster innovation, drive the growth of the FinTech sector, and establish a sustainable digital economy."
