The package includes a $6 million four-year term loan, a $1 million revolving line of credit, and up to $5 million in equipment financing that the company expects to finalise.

Who's ESI? Operating under the Ozzies brand and headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, ESI designs and manufactures specialised equipment for renewable and conventional energy projects. It serves solar, wind, oil and gas, and utility infrastructure clients through leasing, sales, and manufacturing.

Where the money goes: Part of the term loan repaid ESI's existing credit facility with FieraDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → Enhanced Private Debt Fund LP in full. The rest supports operations, equipment expansion, and continued investment in manufacturing.

Why now? The deal establishes a new long-term banking relationship for ESI and refinances its prior debt. Chief executive officer Laz Nikeas said ESI has delivered "strong operating performance, profitability and cash generation over the past two years."

What's the endgame? The financing "lowers our cost of capital, enhances our financial flexibility and positions us to continue investing in the growth of our ESI business," Nikeas said. It marks a step up for ESI, swapping a private debt fund for a major commercial bank.

One more thing: Battery Mineral also granted 13,193,431 restricted share units to directors and executives, including 9,033,443 to Nikeas and 3,659,988 to chief financial officer Jennifer Fulton Anderson.

The signal: Moving from a private credit fund to JPMorgan signals that ESI's cash flows are strong enough to attract mainstream bank lending — a marker of maturity for the energy equipment business that sits inside a company otherwise focused on copper mining in Chile.
