CHAPTERS Group raises €63.9M in placement, top 5% of European non-VC deals
What's the deal? CHAPTERS Group AG, a Hamburg-based holding company, has completed a private placement raising gross proceeds of about €63.9 million. The company issued 1,521,938 new shares at €42.00 each, excluding existing shareholders' subscription rights.
Why now? The board resolved the capital increase from authorised capital on 22 July 2026, and completed the placement the same day. The raise draws on authorised capital, letting CHAPTERS move without a fresh shareholder vote.
What's the endgame? Subject to registration in the Commercial Register, the placement lifts CHAPTERS' share capital from €23,842,152 to €25,364,090. The company is listed on several German venues, including Frankfurt's Basic Board and Tradegate.
The signal: The round lands in the top 5% of European non-VC private placements over the past four years, based on a sample of 5,563 deals. That scale underscores growing appetite for sizeable equity raises among Europe's listed holding companies.
