Lasken AI raises seed round led by GapMinder to map Europe's health data
What's the deal? Croatian startup Lasken AIDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised a seed round co-led by GapMinderDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → and Fil Rouge CapitalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →. The company builds a healthcare data analytics platform, and the funding will go toward product development and commercial expansion across Europe, starting with Germany. The round size was not disclosed.
What does it do? Lasken AI turns publicly available medical information into structured, continuously updated datasets for pharma companies, medtech firms, sales teams, and consultancies. Its platform currently connects data on 400,000 healthcare organisations in Germany, millions of professionals, and more than half a trillion words from public medical sources.
Why now? The investment follows Fil Rouge Capital's earlier backing of the company's pre-seed stage. By the end of 2026, the startup expects its database to cover roughly 2.5 million healthcare organisations across Europe.
What's the endgame? The goal is a coherent view across multiple European markets while preserving each country's local specifics. Unlike static datasets, the platform tracks how organisations, professionals, and markets change over time, converting the data into usable outputs such as target groups, market segments, and commercial recommendations.
A pharma company, for example, could use it to identify pharmacies with the highest vaccination potential, factoring in local demographics, disease incidence, and vaccination rates. The platform can also segment oncology practices by therapeutic focus, practice characteristics, and level of digital adoption.
What they're saying: "Healthcare commercial teams are searching for answers to essential questions: where the biggest market opportunities are, which organisations to prioritise, or the best locations for clinical trials," said Patric Jarchow, cofounder and chief executive officer of Lasken AI. He described the platform as "a digital librarian" that collects, organises, and continuously updates healthcare data.
GapMinder partner Cosmin Ochișor said the firm was drawn by the team's "deep healthcare expertise" and its ambition to build "a continuously evolving database, rather than a static one."
The signal: European health systems remain fragmented, and many commercial decisions still rest on outdated, scattered information. Lasken AI is betting that a live, cross-market data layer can become reference infrastructure for the sector — and its backers are wagering the same.
