Why now? The move completes a relationship that began in 2021, when Mark Foods took an equity stake in Endeavor. With the deal closed, Endeavor's business is being fully integrated into Mark Foods' operations, expanding its seafood offerings and adding experienced talent. “Since our initial investment in 2021, we have seen firsthand the talent, dedication, and quality this team brings,” said Barry Markman, CEO of Mark Foods. “Fully integrating the business was a natural next step.”
What it means. Endeavor Seafood was founded in 2001 by Mike Bush, Todd Clark and George Souza, veterans of the seafood supply chain; Bush and Clark are staying on with Mark Foods. The acquisition continues a run of deals for Mark Foods, following the purchases of Bristol Seafood in 2025, Arista Industries' seafood division in 2023, and Openwater Seafoods in 2021 — pointing to continued consolidation among US frozen seafood importers as buyers pursue scale and broader distribution.
