Mitigram buys Paris-based eexpand to link trade intelligence with financing

What's the deal? Mitigram, a Stockholm-based digital trade finance platform, has acquired Export Enterprises SA — which operates eexpand — a Paris-based trade intelligence platform. Terms were not disclosed.

Who is eexpand? Founded in 1989, it serves more than 50 financial institutions, including Lloyds Bank, Santander, Bank of China, and Royal Bank of Canada, and supports a global network of over 700,000 registered businesses.

What changes hands? Mitigram is acquiring all of eexpand's core assets, including Trade Pilot, Trade Club Connect, and the Trade Resources Platform.

What's the endgame? eexpand sits at the front end of the trade journey, helping businesses find export markets and counterparties using trade data and AI-driven matchmaking. Mitigram adds the transactional layer that turns that demand into completed trade finance deals. In 2025, its platform facilitated over $40 billion in transactions across more than 120 markets.

Why now? The deal builds on an existing relationship between the two companies. "Through our existing relationship with eexpand, we have seen the value of its technology, data and customer relationships first-hand," said Joshua Kroeker, chief executive officer of Mitigram.

The signal: The acquisition reflects a push to merge market discovery and financing into a single trade workflow, letting banks support customers from market exploration through to completed transactions — and giving corporates a path from opportunity to execution without switching platforms.
