Opoka TFI raises €9.8M for Luxembourg-based fund managed from Poland

What's the deal? Opoka TFIDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has launched Opoka Foris, a fund domiciled in Luxembourg but managed directly from Poland. It raised €9.8 million from 14 clients at launch, with a minimum entry threshold of €500,000.

Why now? The fund targets wealthy investors seeking geographic diversification of their assets. Opoka TFI says the product removes the language barriers and bureaucracy that Polish investors previously faced when placing money abroad, such as with Swiss banks.

What's the endgame? Structured as a Luxembourg Reserved Alternative Investment Fund (RAIF), Opoka Foris holds its assets — equities, precious metals, and commodities — physically outside Poland. The strategy replicates the firm's flagship Opoka Alfa fund, built on diversification across uncorrelated asset classes.

The fund is settled and valued in euros, unlike the złoty-denominated Alfa, with subscriptions and redemptions in quarterly cycles. Among its clients is the Duda family; Maciej Duda, chairman of Opoka TFI's supervisory board, said jurisdictional diversification is "becoming an element of investment decisions."

What could go wrong? The firm cites Alfa's historical returns of 27% over the year to mid-2026 and 125% over 10 years — not the new Foris fund. Opoka notes that past results do not guarantee future performance.

Chief executive officer Tomasz Tarczyński said the project is backed by more than 15 years of the firm's market results. Operationally, Q Securities S.A. Luxembourg Branch acts as depositary, Trustmoore Luxembourg S.A. as administrator, Forvis Mazars S.A. as auditor, and Interactive BrokersDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → Ireland Limited as prime broker.

The signal: Opoka TFI, which has operated since 2007 and now manages over 1.25 billion złoty in assets — up more than 20% in the first half of 2026 — is betting that Polish wealth increasingly wants foreign jurisdiction without foreign friction.
