Try Dealroom → Services led the raise, which the oil and gas explorer will use to advance projects across Austria and offshore Italy.
The terms: ADX will issue 179.2 million new shares at A$0.02 each — a 16.7% discount to the last traded price and 23% below the five-day volume-weighted average. Each share carries one free-attaching option exercisable at A$0.03, expiring December 31, 2027.
What's the endgame? Proceeds will fund multi-zone gas testing of ADX's HOCH-1 shallow gas discovery in Upper Austria and follow-up drilling. The company will also optimise oil production at its existing fields, pursue exploration offshore in the Sicily Channel, and cover general working capital.
Why now? ADX is moving to build on early exploration success at HOCH-1 while European gas prices sit at record levels. "This is at a time when Europe is experiencing record gas prices due to supply shortfalls for the foreseeable future," said executive chairman Ian Tchacos.
The context: Tchacos framed the strategy as low-risk production growth in Austria paired with a "transformation gas exploration portfolio." That includes the Anshof oil field, where ADX plans to introduce farm-in partners and use its existing 3,000-barrel-per-day processing facility to shorten the development cycle.
The signal: The quick re-raise shows ADX leaning on equity markets to keep drilling through a favourable price window. As Tchacos put it, the company believes "our opportunities are only limited by capital" — a candid admission that access to funding, not assets, is the constraint on its European ambitions.
