Ouest Croissance backs €63M French pastry maker Sarafruits as founding family holds control

The company: Led by chief executive officer Eric Sarazin, Sarafruits generates roughly €63 million in sales, 40% of it from exports, and employs nearly 320 people.

Why now? Unigrains and Crédit Mutuel Equity have backed the group since 2010. The new round brings in fresh capital while extending those long-standing ties.

What's the endgame? Sarazin said the aim is to "accelerate an ambitious, responsible and sustainable growth trajectory," building the brand among leading players in France and abroad.

The signal: The deal shows how French agri-food investors are backing family-owned firms without unseating founders.
