Yuequan Bionic raises hundreds of millions of yuan for bionic robotic hands

What does it do? Yuequan builds dexterous robotic hands, motors, humanoid robots, and behaviour models in-house. Its technology stems from research by Ren Lei, a professor at the University of Manchester, that mimics how human bones, muscles, and ligaments work together.
The products: Its flagship Y-Hand M1, launched in early July 2026, weighs 299.7g, packs 26 degrees of freedom, and grips at up to 200N. A higher-end M2 offers 38 degrees of freedom, which the company calls the highest of any bionic dexterous hand.
Where the money goes: Funds will support hiring, product research, and production capacity. The company is building a manufacturing base in Beijing's Changping district.
Yuequan says it has secured over 100 million yuan in cumulative orders across smart manufacturing, warehousing, inspection, healthcare, and domestic services.
Why now? Humanoid robots are moving past the prototype stage toward commercial rollout, with dexterous hands a key focus for investors. Chinese dexterous-hand companies raised nearly 5 billion yuan in the first quarter of 2026 alone, according to the source.
What could go wrong? The sector risks a race to stack hardware specs like degrees of freedom and torque. Rigid designs struggle to balance precision, load capacity, and cost — the trade-off Yuequan claims its bionic structure solves.
