What's the endgame? Voxshell targets the advanced manufacturing sector, where converting complex 3D geometry into mesh models can consume up to 80% of total simulation time. ChopMesh, developed by Dr. Liang Yang at Cranfield, ingests implicit geometry natively without conversion, preserving design intent.
The platform uses AI-accelerated processing to automate steps that legacy tools require humans to handle, generating meshes faster.
Why now? Spun out in April 2024, Voxshell already has paying customers and pilots underway with tier-one aerospace original equipment manufacturers. It is also building a higher-performance version of ChopMesh for batch processing of large-scale mesh files, due later this year.
Where the money goes: Voxshell will scale its engineering team, add automated workflow orchestration to the platform, and extend go-to-market partnerships to build on early commercial traction.
