Simtel to sell 14% of ANT Energy for RON 3.99M, cutting stake to 37% by 2030

The deal, ratified by the board on July 16, 2026, is priced at RON 3.99 million based on an independent valuation.
How is it structured? The transfer runs in five stages through June 2030, with the option to complete early. The first step, effective on signing, moves 3% of capital for RON 855,634, cutting Simtel's holding from 51% to 48%. The remaining 11% follows in three tranches of 3% and a final 2%, leaving Simtel with 37%.
Why now? Simtel said the deal fits its strategy of developing portfolio companies through entrepreneurial partnerships, and that it will keep working commercially with ANT Power.
What changes on the books? From July 2026, ANT Power will no longer be fully consolidated in group accounts, with the remaining stake booked under the equity method. On the 2026 budget, the change is estimated to affect consolidated revenue by about -0.62%, EBITDA by -2.35%, and net profit by -5%. Simtel also expects a one-off accounting gain of roughly RON 11.5 million from revaluing its retained stake at fair value, to be recognised in the second quarter.
The numbers: ANT Power Energy, which provides energy forecasting and analysis services, reported 2025 revenue of RON 7.2 million and net profit of nearly RON 2 million. Both fell from 2024, when it posted RON 9.1 million in revenue and RON 4.2 million in profit. The firm has five employees.
The signal: The staged sale hands operational control to an insider while Simtel retains a meaningful minority stake and its commercial ties, a measured way to unlock value from a smaller portfolio unit without a clean exit.
