Cellanome raises $76M Series C for single-cell biology platform

What's the deal? Cellanome has raised $75,930,476 in a Series C round, disclosed in a notice filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The SEC filing lists the securities as Series C preferred stock and reports the full amount as sold, but does not name the investors backing the round. The company's first sale in the offering was dated December 2025.

What's the endgame? Cellanome builds technology that lets scientists track cells and their interactions over time. It pairs live-cell imaging with single-cell transcriptomics from the same cells, producing multimodal datasets that link cellular behaviour to molecular state.

The company sells access to its work in three ways: labs can install its R3200 platform, use its assay services, or collaborate directly with its scientists. Omead Ostadan serves as chief executive officer.

Why the filing matters: A Regulation D notice like this is required within 15 days of the first sale in an offering. It signals that money is committed — the date of first sale is when the first investor is irrevocably contractually bound to invest.

The signal: The raise adds to the flow of capital into single-cell tools, a field racing to connect what cells do with what their genes reveal. Cellanome's bet is that combining imaging and transcriptomics on the same cells will give researchers a fuller picture than either method alone.
