Quote.Trade raises $4M to build a crypto dark pool for AI agents

What's the deal? Quote.TradeDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, an AI-native crypto dark pool decentralised exchange (DEX), has raised $4 million in a seed round. The money will fund support for additional chains and assets, hiring across trading and engineering, liquidity partnerships, and infrastructure for AI-driven trading agents.

What does it do? Launched in September 2025, the platform lets traders execute large orders without broadcasting intent to a public order book before a trade completes. It offers wallet-based access, stablecoin settlement, all-in pricing with no separate fees, and support for more than 1,500 assets — including long and short positions without bridging.

What's the endgame? Quote.Trade wants humans, bots, and AI agents to trade on equal footing through a shared private execution layer. The same API that powers human trading also drives its open-source trading bot, so automated strategies do not run through a bolted-on secondary system.

How it's positioned: Dark pools already let sophisticated traders in traditional finance seek liquidity without exposing large orders. Quote.Trade applies that to digital assets with a non-custodial architecture that settles in stablecoins and runs across Ethereum and other EVM chains.

"Serious traders should be able to access digital-asset liquidity without exposing intent to a public order book first," said Adam Strong of Quote.Trade.

By the numbers: At $4 million, the round sits in roughly the 57th percentile for deals of its kind — a mid-sized seed rather than an outlier.

The signal: The raise reflects a broader shift in which bots and AI agents are becoming first-class market participants rather than edge cases. Where venues like HyperliquidDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → optimise for large, transparent order books, Quote.Trade bets on the opposite: that serious traders, human or automated, often need to move size without telegraphing it first.
