Terms were not disclosed.
What does it do? Founded in 2016, Inspectorio runs a SaaS platform that lets global brands, retailers, and suppliers digitise the production chain — quality, product compliance, supplier ESG audits, and multi-tier traceability. It replaces manual processes with a single system that coordinates brands, suppliers, inspection providers, and testing labs in real time.
Who's on board? The platform serves some of the world's largest brands across apparel, footwear, hardlines, and multi-category retail. Co-founder Carlos Moncayo said it is now used by over 40,000 organisations worldwide.
Why Apax? The firm is a notable growth-equity investor in software, a signal in a market still early in its shift to digital. "Inspectorio has built a genuinely differentiated position in a market that is still in the early stages of digitization," said Dave Evans, a partner at Apax Digital.
What's the endgame? The company plans to deepen Paramo, its AI platform, which draws on millions of live data points across tens of thousands of factories to predict risk and benchmark supplier performance. Chief executive officer Chirag Patel said the investment lets Inspectorio "move faster: deepening our Paramo AI capabilities, expanding our platform, and reaching more of the market."
Why now? As supply chains grow more complex, brands are moving from periodic, manual checks toward continuous, data-driven oversight to cut quality failures and avoid disruptions. Patel argued that "the era of managing them through spreadsheets and site visits is ending."
The signal: A dedicated growth investor stepping into supply-chain quality management marks the sector's move from a manual afterthought to a board-level, AI-driven priority.
