What's the endgame? TeeGo plans to grow from six sites to 20 across the UK within two years. It currently runs six London venues — Putney, Hampstead, Angel, Balham, Battersea, and Hackney Wick — after scaling from one site in two years.

Where next? Beyond London, TeeGo is targeting cities including Birmingham, Manchester, and Nottingham, aiming to become the UK's largest dedicated indoor golf clubhouse network. It is taking advantage of favourable deals from landlords on Britain's high streets.

Why now? Demand for indoor golf is climbing. TeeGo logged 6,000 rounds in the past year, up 155%, and predicts more people in London will play indoors than outdoors within a year.

What's the pitch? Traditional courses can be costly and slow, and their numbers are shrinking. "At TeeGo you can pick from more than 400 virtual courses around the world and play 18 holes in 30 minutes," said chief executive officer Jay Patel.

The signal: Backing from a HomeServe founder — a company that sold for £4.1 billion — signals investor conviction that indoor, high-street golf is a scalable urban leisure format, not a novelty.
